Essential oils are pure oils extracted from plants, tree
resins, fruits, nuts, leaves, & flowers through steam
distillation, cold pressing, and solvent extraction. Each oil renders valuable health
benefits when properly used in aromatherapy. Essential oils may
be diffused in the air with aroma lamps and oil burners, blended with a fixed oil
such as sweet almond, to be applied as a
massage oil
or
therapeutic ointment, and they are used to make facials, body
spritzes, air deodorizers, hair products, and may be used
directly in baths. Essential oils are highly concentrated and are
not blended with any other oils. Price varies depending on how
much oil a plant renders, accessability to certain plants and
trees in certain regions of the world and on the amount harvested
in a particular year.
Our Essential Oils Are Among The Finest Quality Aromatherapy (Therapeutic) Grade Available On The Market. They Are Pure and Genuine, Which Means Nothing Else Is Added To Them To Dilute or Extend Them.
Essential oils are used in aromatherapy as well as in the perfume industry. Our essential oils are aromatherapy grade, which is the best grade available. These oils are highly volatile, that is to say, they evaporate rather quickly if left undiluted in the open air. Although we refer to them as an oil, they are very thin and do not have an oily feeling to them. Our labels include the geographical origin of harvest/distillation, and the latin name for the plant/tree. You will find these oils to be of the highest quality. As in the perfume industry, the trade reference for an unblended essential oil is called a single note. When blended together with other oils, we refer to this as a synergy or multi-note. We also use the term high note, middle note and base note to refer to the intensity of the oil. High notes are the first thing you smell when you open a bottle of essential oil, fragrance oil, perfume oil, etc., but they dissipate quickest. Middle notes stabilize the blend and last longer than the high notes. Base notes are the most lingering, this is the one you smell after you've had perfume on all day.
Each oil contains different constituants or
characteristics which make it different from the rest.
Essential oils are
highly concentrated substances and as such should be treated with
respect. The following guidelines are important:

Dilution Ratios
Massage Oil Blend essential oils with a carrier or fixed oil, such as sweet almond or grapeseed oil, and use a ratio of 10 drops essential oil to every ounce of carrier oil or a 3% ratio. When blending a facial treatment, never use more than a 1.5% dilution ratio. Recipes

Salt Scrub Recipe
Salt Scrubs are used in Body Spa Treatments to exfoliate rough skin areas, such as joints, heels, elbows, knees, and dry hands. Use can use salt scrub on your face if you thin out the mixture by adding more carrier oil. Items needed: 1 clean jar, 4-8oz size Dead Sea Salts Table Salt Essential Oil(s), your choice. Natural Carrier Oil, such as Sweet Almond, Sesame, Olive, Apricot Kernal, Grapeseed, Safflower, Sunflower, Soybean, etc. Start with an empty jar, we recommend a 4-8oz jar. Fill jar 1/2 way with Dead Sea Salts. ( You can use a less expensive coarse or kosher salt, but the Dead Sea Salts contain special minerals not found in other salts. Trace amounts of these minerals are absorbed into your body, giving it nourishment. ) Fill the remainder of jar with ordinary table salt, but leave enough room at the top of the jar for mixing and adding carrier oil. Place lid on jar and shake well to mix the two salts together. Now you can add your favorite combination of essential oils (not fragrance oils, not perfume body oils). Add up to 3 drops of essential oil for every ounce you make. For instance, if you are using a 4oz jar, then use up to 12 drops of essential oil. For an 8oz jar, use up to 24 drops of essential oil. Now you are ready to add your carrier oil. Add a little, then stir mixture and continue this process until the mixture is the consistancy of a thick cake batter. For facial use, add more carrier oil to thin out the mixture. You can add a up to a tablespoon of the following to add color and more texture: Buckwheat hulls Flaxseed Anise seeds Caraway seeds Dried Lavender petals Rub Salt Scrub on skin in a rotating motion for 15 seconds then rinse with warm water and repeat as needed.
